Darlington, Sweden, and Djurgården won! Will LIF win?

amar purewalIt has been a great start of the weekend for ’my’ teams overall.

Darlington were 0-2 down at half time against Clitheroe but turned around to a 3-2 win after two late goals from Amar Purewal. Darlington now have four wins in five games and things look good in the Evo-Stik First Division North. Amar Purewal has a good goal scoring record for Darlington and I would love if he will stay and help them to move up to Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Darlington now have two straight home games at Heritage Park in Bishop Auckland (against teams in the lower half of the table). With two wins in these games Quakers have put themselves in a very good position for the rest of the season.

Sweden got a very important win in Ireland (2-1) after goals from Johan Elmander and Anders Svensson. It was a rather crappy game in my opinion, with way too many unforced errors from the Swedish players. mikael lustigHowever, I think Sweden were much better than Ireland and got a deserved victory. However, they really need to decrease the number of missed passes. Mikael Lustig had a few, but also other players had some horrendous misses. An interesting fact is that full back Lustig has been involved in six of twelve goals so far for Sweden in the qualification.

Next Sweden travel to Kazakhstan and a victory is of course a must. In that case they have a great chance to take the second position in the group and getting a chance to qualify to the World Cup in Rio.

Lustig seems to have injury problems and I guess that he won’t start against Kazakhstan. I would play with Andreas Granqvist since I do not believe that Adam Johansson have the quality to start for Sweden. Johansson is a decent defender, but his season so far has been far from great. Granqvist is a defender with attacking qualities and I think he will do well as a full back. Moreover I would like to see Kim Källström back in the starting eleven. I guess I am the only Swede that thinks Kim should start, but I believe that he still is an excellent player and I think we need his offensive qualities against Kazakhstan.

Djurgården’s ice hockey team has done well in European Trophy and won against Brynäs yesterday.  I hope that this will be the season when Djurgården get things together again and qualify for the top division in 2014-2015.

ljungby if—–

Today Ljungby IF have an important game away to BW90. LIF’s form is awful and I really hope that they turn around their loosing trend today.

BK Häcken and Halmstads BK tomorrow

Tomorrow the second round of the Swedish Cup takes place with plenty of games to consider. I think I have found a double with great value with wins for two teams from Allsvenskan (BK Häcken and Halmstads BK) against teams in lower leagues.

The first game is Nyköpings BIS at home to BK Häcken. Häcken travel to Nyköping with a strong squad and I think they want to/have a great chance to win after a bad spell in Allsvenskan. Bwin, Bet365, and Unibet pays 1.40 for a BK Häcken win and I think that this is good. BetVictor is highest with 1.44. Nyköping is not a bad team, they are currently third in Division 1 Norra with a good chance to promote to Superettan and they have got a few new signings recently. But, Häcken should be a top team in Allsvenskan and they should be far better than ”Bissarna”. More about the game on BK Häcken’s homepage.

I double up with Halmstads BK away to Ljungby IF. Ljungby is ”my home team” and play in Division 2 Södra Götaland. After a good start before the summer break they have been awful recently and Halmstad should win this 19 times of 20. Bwin offers 1.25 for HBK and I place my bet there. Read more about the game at Halmstad’s home page.

Bet: BK Häcken to win (1.40) and Halmstads BK to win (1.25) to accumulated odds 1.75 at Bwin.
Wager: 2 units (of 4) are risked.

Ljungby and Oskarshamn

Ljungby IF and Oskarshamns AIK top Division 2 Södra Götaland in Sweden and I think they will win again today. Bet365 offers good prices in both games and I’ll go for home victories. I sit in a car the moment and don’t have time to motivate further, but my bets today are:

Ljungby IF – FK Karlskrona: LIF win to 1.50 (Bet365). 2 units (of four)

Oskarshamns AIK – Hässleholms IF: OAIK win to 1.75 (Bet365). 1 unit.

I have also picked Roger Federer in my tennis snowball.

Monday bets

I have two bets for Monday at the moment. Might publish more here tomorrow.

Jönköping Södra – Falkenbergs FF: FFF DnB at 2.23 (Pinnacle Sports). 1.5 units of 4

Falkenberg has surprised every pundit and will top Superettan (Swedish second league) together with Örebro if they win here and I think that Falkenberg should be favourites in this game. There are no new injury worries in Falkenberg, but a few players are out long term (among them Zlatan Krizanovics who injured his cruciate ligament recently). Calle Wede is back though!

Jönköping Södra did not manage to score for 430 minutes until former Ljungby IF (my home club) forward Oskar Olsson managed to score in their impressive win away to Hammarby. As far as I know they have no new injuries. Despite their recent win I am sceptical to J Södras form and pick the away team here.

I also considered FFF +0.25 and under 2.5 goals but stick to DnB for now.

Millonarios – Alianza Petrolera: Millonarios -0.75 at 1.85 (Bet365). 1u/4u.

This bet is more based on stats, league position and recent form. I haven’t found anything special in the team news, but am a bit uncertain about team changes and stick to one unit for now. Millonarios is a good team at home (W6-D0-L2, where the losses came to top sides) and should win against Petrolera, a team in the lower parts of the table. Millonarios are defending champions in Colombian football. I think that Bet365 pays a bit too high for the home victory (1.62 for the straight bet).
